Hi, I’m Laura, an executive leadership coach dedicated to helping people reconnect with their authentic selves and unlock their full potential. Leadership isn’t about power or position; it’s about showing up for yourself and others with clarity, purpose, and compassion. It’s about creating impact – not perfection.
My work is about transformation - helping you discover and then break free from self-imposed limitations, embrace your strengths, and take intentional steps toward creating meaningful impact in your life and the world.
This isn’t just something I believe in - it’s something I’ve lived through and learned firsthand.
Laura Sciore, MBA

My Journey: From Self-Doubt to Empowered Leadership
When I was a child, I dreamed of being a dancer. My father, a 1950s disc jockey with a love for jazz, filled our home with music. I’d spend hours choreographing imaginary performances, building makeshift stages, and pouring my heart into creative expression. Dancing was my way of telling a stories, expressing myself, and connecting with the world. But as I grew older, I was told I didn’t fit the mold. I wasn’t “built” like a dancer - I was too “fat”, they said. The seeds of self-doubt were planted. I was bullied, physically and emotionally and I struggled with self-doubt, and shame. I learned to navigate my life from a place of fear and self-protection. I became fiercely independent. I rejected my creative side and turned to academics, and I made choices based on what I thought others wanted. As a result, I’ve suffered from depression and anxiety for most of my life. For years, these patterns showed up in my professional life. I saw myself as a survivor. Outwardly, I built a successful career and appeared confident on the surface, but inside, I was chronically stressed, burnt out and exhausted. The constant feeling was that something was wrong with me – I was struggling to hold it all together. It wasn’t until I discovered coaching that everything changed. A series of seemingly random, but meaningful events led me to a space where I could explore my values, rediscover my voice, and reconnect with the creative, confident person I thought I lost so long ago. Slowly, I began to change and move forward – motivated by purpose rather than fear. Coaching reignited that sense of freedom and joy I felt as a child dancing to my father’s jazz records. Today, I help others find that same freedom. I believe that when we know and appreciate ourselves from the inside out, we can be the kind of leader the world needs - one who inspires, uplifts, and transforms.
How I Help Leaders Transform
Leadership starts from within. It’s about more than managing people or hitting performance targets – it’s about living and leading with clarity, resilience, and authenticity. My approach blends personal experience with science and evidence-based methodologies, empowering my clients to rewrite their stories, embrace their strengths, and step into their fullest potential. With over 30 years of business experience, including leading teams, running a successful small business, and earning my MBA from Queen’s University, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my coaching practice. I am an accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a certified Co-Active Professional Coach, and I hold specialized training in emotional intelligence, neuroscience, and mindfulness-based stress reduction, among others. But what truly sets me apart is my ability to create a safe, confidential space for deep, transformational growth. I’ve been where you are – overwhelmed, stuck, unsure of the way forward. I know what it’s like to feel disconnected from your purpose – and I know the freedom that comes from finding it again.
